V1720 Intrepid IGS S3 womens safety boot

Built on a specially-created women’s last, the Intrepid IGS provides optimum fit to the female footshape. It protects the foot with a composite toecap and midsole and also offer ankle protection. It features a lightweight metal free design, reinforced stitching, a tough scuff cap, and a shock absorbing footbed for comfort. The innovative IGS rubber sole unit ensures superb grip on all surfaces and increased cushioning underfoot. Available in sizes UK 2–8 (EU 32–42)
 
The toecap is non-sparking and thermal insulating composite material and protects toes from falling objects and compression with shock resistance of 200 J and resistance to compression 15000 N. The midsole is a flexible woven composite material and prevents sharp objects from penetrating through the sole, resistance to nail penetration is 1100 N. Both meet the requirements of the EN ISO 20345:2011 S3 standard.
 
The boot lining is padded, moisture wicking and highly breathable to be cool in summer, warm in winter. The heel-pump shock absorbing footbed is contoured to support the foot, with air channels to wick moisture and reduce heat build up and odour.
 
The V12 IGS sole unit was inspired by tyre technology and made from highly durable rubber. It features a unique hexagonal tread for water dispersal ensuring superior traction, ladder grips for working at height, and an angled heel strike for slip prevention. The IGS sole is heat resistant to approximately 300°C and is non-marking and resistant to diesel, fat, acid and alkali.  SRC rated for slip resistance.
