Rock Fall FR008 FaraDRI S3 safety trainer

The RF008 FaraDRI safety trainer from Rock Fall footwear is a breathtakingly lightweight and highly appealing groundbreaking safety trainer that has been designed to be sustainable to its core. This style is often specified on contracts due to its expansive size range (UK 3-16/EU 36-51) and uniform styling, enabling it to be ‘the one for everyone’.
 
It features recycled plastic bottle upper, webbing and lace materials that are durability rated, and includes an Activ-Tex® waterproof membrane that is breathable, tested for 8 hours (5 times longer than EN requirements) and also contains 60% recycled content.
 
The FaraDRI is ESD (ElectroStatic Discharge) certified, having a low electrical resistance (<35MΩ).
 
It has a 100% non metallic construction, including a fibreglass toecap and composite midsole.  Both features help to provide its S3 protection rating, the fibreglass toecap protects from falling objects and compression, and the penetration resistant composite midsole helps prevent sharp objects from puncturing the sole.  These meet the requirements of the EN ISO 20345:2011 standard, shock resistance is 200 J, resistance to compression is 15000 N, resistance to nail penetration is 1100 N.
 
All day comfort comes from an Activ-Step® recycled footbed which is made from recycled plastic bottles and foam, offering best in class breathability, shape retention and arch cushioning.
 
The dual density EPR rubber outsole provides abrasion resistance and exceptional shock absorption and weight reduction. SRC rated for slip resistance (highest performance rating), it offers grip on wet and slippery surfaces, and is also resistant to oils.
